Spring in the air
or, to be fair
it was slightly warmer
in the London splendour
than it has been, I swear.

But what I couldn't work out
In the credit crunch bout:
All the building work
towers, houses, roadwork
Meaning I couldn't really get out of Tottenham Court Tube station without getting just a little bit lost because the exit was shut, and the road was closed, and my sense of direction was rubbish.
I hope they don't loose all the lovely little tile mosaics fr0m the station.

Pancake day
Also known as Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras
Now it's only 46 days to Easter
Confession on Shrove Tuesday was a Christian tradition
and there they (The Christian confessors) were Shriven
absolved
Kansas has a pancake race where only women can
enter.

Don't let any of this stop you
all enjoying your pancakes
You deserve a little luxury.

Never
I have never
talked about a platypus
on this blog
and this is a duck billed
platypus.
But I'm not going to talk about them now
either.
Instead
I will predict that
Slumdog
With get best film at the Oscars
tonight.

Friday is done
and I feel like I've won
the battle of weeks
with it's troughs and it's peaks
now the weekend's begun

yay!

I have decorating to do
and talking of watching paint dry
will be off to Carrow Road

Ageing
I watched a bit of a TV show tonight
about ageing
and these people
in USA (where else)
trying to extend their lives
with drugs, salad, exercise, surgery
or any combination
it was kind of interesting.
Good preparation for going to see
the Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
All a bit uncomfortable.
But made me post this recent picture of myself.

Weather
I am now the proud owner
of a weather clock.
What a geek.
It tells me the time,
the temp - in and out
the humidity - in and out
the pressure - in and out.
Love it.
Currently it is 6.6 C outside.
Cool.

Wells
Next-the-sea
What a splendid place
to spend the day.
Although legs ache
after mile and miles and miles
(well 3 or 4)
beach walking
Had my first bus ride
too
for probably 5 years
All the way to Burnham
Ever heard of that ?

24
Day 7
Wow
If this makes sense
then you know what I'm talking about
if not
then get real.

Today, day 9, in the real world.
I say the real world
Chelsea sacking Scolari
their forth sacking in recent times
and the Premier League's 6th
I think
just this season.

Crumbs

Maybe my days are numbered
too.

Not my words, but good thoughts

I am afraid of my good habits, for I take them for virtues;
I am afraid of my little efforts, for I take them for progress;
I am afraid of my activities, they make me think I am giving myself;
I am afraid of my clever planning, I take it for success;
I am afraid of my influence, I imagine that it will transform lives;
I am afraid of what I give, it hides what I withhold;

Brake
I had one
Today
Lazy
And I had two
yesterday
not lazy
but very safe.
In fact I was a tad
worried
that I stopped so quick
Very Happy.
Yet again
we seem to have missed out
on Snow
Oh no :-)
So, now it feels like Saturday
but it's only late
on Friday
So I have a whole weekend
ahead of me.
Fab.

no snow now
shame that Norwich got none
to speak of
but it meant I could
go to work
Yay!
And
today I am on
my best behaviour
as it's birthday time
for mrs--ee-g
And I am going to
be very careful what I say,as I don't want to be accused
of being
ageist
racist
sexist
rudest
heightist
like every other person on the BBC.

Great Weekend
The long weekend is over
150 of us fed and watered
with chips, fish, chilli
but also with
God's most generous
blessings.

I did get 5 mins to walk out
and snapped these two pictures
of the castle and forum
from a slightly
different
perspective.

And I come away from the weekend
with another, different perspective
of my God's amazingness.
