Thrashing
That's the word today
After watching Norwich play
Despite the cold and snow
Ipswich have nothing to show
As the BBC chose to say
City thump Town - Hurray!
The next word is cold.
and the final word goes to Miss H Granger
'mudblood and proud of it!'
Dogs
Got off the London train in Norwich last night to be greeted by
a black dog
sniffing me out
and a load of other people
accompanied by a rather large number
of police officers
Couldn't work out
if they were routing out
drugs
explosives
or smelly people
Anyway, I got through
without too much hassle.

Bus ride
I actually
Chose
To ride on a
Bus
This week in
London
Where I saw lots of
Police officers
People, including rioting
Pretend students
Poppies
Party goers, quite a few
Pot holes
which, apparently, there is no money to
fix.
Now I'm home
and can see lots of
Fallen Leaves
which I intend to fix
Today.
Garden
Apple trees
Plum trees
Gooseberry
Blueberry
Raspberry
Redcurrant
Blackcurrant
along with
Manure
Bonemeal
Peat
Compost
and a bit of a sore back
and dirty finger nails.
A very pleasant way to spend wet and grey autumnal afternoon.
Lovely
I love it at Avoncliff
a lovely walk along the canal
a lovely view of the river
a lovely pub
a lovely pint
of lovely beer.
The walk along the Thames was
and is
lovely too
Not quite the same
a little busier
a little greyer
a little more rushed
and a little (but note very) annoying because the lovely tube men were on strike.
But there is nothing lovelier
than
lovely Norfolk
home at last
