On and on he goes.....

Tomorrow may not be a better day, but there will always be a better tomorrow
The year draws to a close and I'm thinking about 2006. I wondered how it will compare with 2005, and as you can see I'm feeling philosophical. Who knows? I've no idea what the New Year will bring. There are some things I'm really looking forward to - like seeing the 'Americans' (not all of them, just the six that belong to my clan), and some things I fear - like seeing the boy (mine) potentially leaving home. I'm sure he'll come back though. But will it be with piercing & prejudice, or love & learning. Who knows?

And what about New Year resolutions. Have any of you thought you might resolve to do this year? Leave me your ideas in the comments. The usual; get fit, read books, quit smoking don't really mean much to me, so mine is 'to write a blog'. Wonder how many others are doing this for the first time? And my other challenge, to myself, get the dead Christmas tree trip to the tip completed before May.

To quote Martin Luther King, who can't have been thinking about 2006, "we must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope".

Thus, I'm all set and raring to get blogging. See you in 2006.
