Apparently my surname is of French origin, from the early 17th Century.
But I don't feel either French or 400 years old.
So how can that be true?
I do feel slightly nauseous having watched some TV showing chicken breasts on sale which contained 60% chicken - and beef sausages which contained 5% meat.
I do feel slightly hard done by that my summer (August in England) was the dullest (least sun) since records began.
I do feel slightly tired as it's nearly 2 in the morning and I can't sleep because of various pretty trivial aches and pains and random noises.
I do love this quote from Old Williams play the Merchant of Venice:
"If you prick us, do we not bleed? if you tickle us, do we not laugh?"
