it really does say

above the river
about 2 feet deep.
That really would be
daft.
Equally daft
are the banks
still writing to customers
in the midst of deep despair
offering £10,000 loans
to customers who are loaned out
with existing monthly interest payments
about double their
monthly income.
Shame on them.
