Amazing
It may be raining, it may be Norfolk, it may be a simple field, river or tree. But.
It is still amazing.

And so was the show at the theatre last night. Les Mis. Amazing.

In fact, life is full of amazing things - even the spider which has been in my shower room since I moved into the house. He is amazing. I've never seen him eat, or drink. but he is definitely getting bigger, and friendlier because he's moved a few inches closer to the door - I assume because he wants to move in with me in to the bedroom.

Amazing.

Something to think about!

The Bible has 1189 chapters split over 66 books.

The middle of these chapters is chapter 595 and is a chapter called Psalm 118.

Either side of this Psalm is the shortest chapter, Psalm 117 and the longest chapter, Psalm 119.

So there are 594 chapters before and 594 after this middle chapter of Psalm 118.

594 added to 594 is 1188 - so writing 1188 as Psalm 118v8 and amazingly Psalm 118 verse 8 is indeed the middle verse of the 31,101 verses of the bible.

And what does this verse say ? There is no-one better to put your trust in than God !

VET
Solomon and Sheba
paid a visit
today
to the veterinary surgeon.
I'm not sure that they really enjoyed the
experience.
But they did have
a little jab
and trip in the car.
I had no jab
I had no cage to sit in
I had no nice doctor
talking sweetly in my ear
I had no one
spending £100 on me.
But I did have three lovely people come and visit me
and thrash me at Settlers
of Catan.
I think I'm glad I'm not a cat.

Snowdrops
being trampled
by my friendly
pheasant
this afternoon
Before the rain set in.
Hope he's found somewhere dry
to sleep.

Sorry
Tiger Woods is sorry - John Terry is sorry - Ashley Cole is sorry.
All three must be pretty daft too.
More money than sense maybe
All have good looking wives - Extravagant cars and houses - And a problem with their belts.
But who am I to judge

I love this poem on sorryness by Erica German

sometimes sorry isn't good enough
sometimes you have to be tough
sometimes sorry is too hard to say
sorry is a card you always have to play

sometimes sorry is the wrong word
sometimes sorry is the only cure

sometimes the word sorry isn't always true
sometimes sorry is only for you
sometimes sorry is too big
sometimes sorry is a fib

sometimes sorry will make you cry
sometimes sorry will be your last goodbye

sometimes sorry is forgot
sometimes i say sorry a lot
sometimes sorry is a gift
sometimes sorry makes a lift

sometimes sorry is the only way
to fix a bad day

4 days and no post
and that's not the fault of the royal mail
nor the
weather.
But in fact was because I was getting a nice tan at Sizewell
also nothing to do with the weather.
As I was walking along the beach , I wondered whether people ever did really think the world was flat, or whether that is just a myth.
And now I'm home, the good old internet tells me that it is indeed probably a myth. No one ever did really think it was flat since the time of ancient Greeks.
Nothing flat about the power station either. It was definitely a full three dimensions - and probably other dimensions too, if they are not also a myth.

Time passes
The cold stays
The oil burns
The war wages
The economy crumbles
And the UK parliament decides it's high time we sorted out our voting system, so that the person with the most votes wont necessary win the seat. Is there any logic in that. It's called the alternate vote. I can think of a number of other alternatives, but I'm too polite to say!

This is about as good as it got
over the weekend
from the weather perspective:
grey, misty cold.

However,
I did spend time with friends, ate well, tinkled some ivories, drank local beer, tasted local honey, went out in the garden, watched football, washed, endured the worst film ever, watered the hanging baskets, bought the most expensive petrol ever and various other equally exciting things.

Today I've been
speaking and talking and a little bit of listening about words

So I now have a new spell chequer witch worx grate especially as I've always had trubble with letters that double, "Is it one or to S's?" I'd wine. But now, as I've tolled you this chequer is grate and its hi thyme you got won, like mine.

I've also learned about homonyms, e.g.

whether the weather be fine
or whether the weather be not
we'll weather the weather
whatever the weather
whether we like it or not!

Today it was fine, but wet.

Is this not just the best place in the world

Thought I write a poem today
As I've been away
But now I'm back
And have a moment of slack
Can't wait to hear what you say.

Slack tomorrow - no way!
As the lovely wife has her birth day
Breakfast in bed
Maybe I'll hide in the shed
and see if I get away

with it.

Ok, I think I'll stick with the day job. I can tell you what I've been thinking about tonight though: Which is more important and more amazing, the humanity of Christ, or his divinity. Answers on some birthday wrapping paper please, because I forgot to buy some.

For those if you who like buses
Here is the
Top of the double decker
Park and Ride
Cambridge.

It was pretty busy.

But then everyone
got off
Except me.

For those of you who don't like buses
how about some Latin:

Dominus Deus Sabaoth
Pleni sunt coeli et terra gloria tua

For those of you who don't like buses or Latin,
if there any such strange people in the world.....

How about a short discussion on whether the England football team captain, should be the England football team captain - because he is setting a bad example to the 0.1% of kids who look to him as their role model.

Oh, we can't discuss that, because no one cares, so back to the buses.....
